Step 1: The Consultation

Step 2: The dermal injection

For Non-Surgical Facial Rejuvenation, medical professionals often use topical numbing creams to numb the parts of the face being lifted. General anesthesia and painkillers are only used in certain circumstances, such as the surgical mini-lift, and all decisions regarding the type of anesthesia and painkillers to be used are made during the consultation. Once anesthetized, Dr. Shirazi will proceed to inject skin-friendly, natural dermal fillers into the pre-identified areas of your face. Depending on the area of the face treated, the doctor will use different types of fillers to ensure a more natural and fresh look. The hollow areas of your face will be filled in and the sagging skin tightened using different types of dermal fillers placed strategically in specific facial planes. The entire procedure takes only 2 hours and you can return home after the treatment.

Step 3: Post-treatment recovery

Once the treatment is complete, Dr. Shirazi may provide painkillers and medication, depending on patient-specific medical requirements. After the treatment, it is advised not to undergo certain procedure that may stretch your face such as dental work, facial, or other facial work. As with any cosmetic procedure, there may be tenderness, swelling, and bruising in the treated areas of the face. But, these symptoms will disappear within a few days after the treatment. Complete recovery takes about a week and patients are advised not to exert their facial muscles for the duration of the recovery period.
