Wrinkles, damaged skin and even scars, are no longer something you need to endure. Check out our specialty treatments and let us know how we can help you.

Silhouette InstaLift

The collagen in our face reduces over time, resulting in droopy cheeks and hollow jowls. With the Silhouette InstaLift treatment, you can regain a more shapely and contoured face.

The Silhouette InstaLift is performed with the use of sutures made from material that will naturally be absorbed by your body over time. They can be used to lift the deep tissues of the face to provide a shapely look. The sutures have bidirectional cones to reposition and elevate the skin on your face while stimulating production of collagen.

The doctor will use the Silhouette InstaLift device to lift the muscles and tissues in the cheeks high into place, providing a superb definition and shape. The sutures will hold your facial tissues tightly in place, thereby giving you long-lasting results.

This is a minimally-invasive procedure and takes about 45 minutes to complete. The sutures will be applied deep in the skin, ensuring they aren’t visible on the surface.

Chemical Peel

A chemical peel is a dermatological procedure involving the application of a chemical solution to your face, neck, or hands, causing the skin to exfoliate then peel off. Chemical peels are typically used to restore a youthful, vibrant appearance to wrinkly, blotchy or sun-damaged skin.

Chemical peels use abrasive, but skin-friendly chemicals to reduce the appearance of pigmentation, skin damage, fine lines and a host of other dermatological conditions. Once applied, the chemical lightly burns the old skin cells, causing light blisters to form on the areas treated. These blisters fall off over a few days, leaving behind fresher and younger skin. A chemical peel is one of the most cost-effective cosmetic procedures available today. If you are interested in finding out more about this procedure, feel free to give us a call or schedule a consultation online.

Hand Rejuvenation

Despite our efforts, we may find ourselves, over time, developing spots and fine lines on the back of the hands. Veins may also become more prominent and may be visible through your skin, lessening the aesthetic appeal of the hands. A hand rejuvenation procedure can go a long way in stopping the effects of aging of the hands.

The hand rejuvenation procedure uses a combination of multiple treatments including microdermabrasion and chemical peels to remove the old, sagging skin and stimulate the growth of healthy, young cells. At La Jolla Dermatology and Laser Surgery Center, we are well versed and experienced in performing hand rejuvenation treatments to make your skin appear younger and smooth.

Cosmetic dermal fillers and neuromodulators, like Botox, are also a great option that you may consider. These will improve the elasticity of your skin while filling in any hollowness in the hands and making them more beautiful.

Non-surgical Butt Lift

There is rarely a more admired physical quality than a well toned and tight derriere. While exercise and diet are key factors in attaining this ideal feature, cosmetic medicine has evolved different procedures to aid us and make it easier to get. Now you can make it a reality, without undergoing a surgical procedure. Traditional butt lift procedures are surgical in nature but if you are looking for an alternative, the non-surgical butt lift provides an effective way to get properly contoured buttocks through minimally-invasive and non-invasive techniques.

In this treatment, the doctor will inject hyaluronic acid fillers to give volume and shape to your buttocks. When injected, these cosmetic dermal fillers will stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in the body, making your buttocks bigger and shapelier. The enhancement in the buttocks can be as obvious as the results you get through surgical fat grafting.

This treatment is ideal for those who do not wish to go through all that may be required of you in a conventional surgical butt lift. If you would like more information about this treatment or wish to schedule a consultation, please give us a call or schedule online.

Sclerotherapy & Vein Treatment

Varicose veins are a common concern for millions of women in the world. For many people, there are no symptoms and varicose veins are simply a cosmetic concern. In some cases, they may cause pain and discomfort. In some cases they can be a signal of an underlying circulatory problem. Sclerotherapy can help reduce the varicose veins.

Varicose veins are caused due to multiple factors starting from obesity to genetics. In sclerotherapy, the veins are injected with a solution called sodium tetradecyl sulphate, which damages the internal lining of the vein and causes blood clotting within the vein.

In time, your own body will then destroy the vein and it will disappear. Sodium tetradecyl sulphate is available in different concentrations depending on the size of the vein being treated.

Wrinkle Smoothing

Fine lines and wrinkles are caused when the skin loses its elasticity. This can be due to age, wear or hormonal changes. If untreated, wrinkles may increase over time and subtract from the appearance of our face.

Neuromodulators like Botox and Dysport, and dermal fillers such as, Restylane, Juvederm and Radiesse, are effective options to smooth wrinkly skin. The objective of neuromodulators is to prevent the skin from stretching and moving. When injected into the body, these chemicals block the neural impulses from reaching the treated areas of the skin, resulting in the skin remaining smooth and wrinkle-free.
Injectable fillers fill lost volume. They fill in hollowness to make the skin look smooth and full. Some injectable fillers do this using a substance call hyaluronic acid or a formulation of this substance. Hyaluronic acid is actually a chemical found naturally within your own body. Hyaluronic acid also kickstarts your natural collagen processes, not only providing volume but also giving that volume some structure.

Dr. Azadeh Shirazi will use a combination of neuromodulators and cosmetic dermal fillers, as needed, to smooth your skin, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and contour your skin. Wrinkle smoothing treatments can reduce everything from facial creases to nasolabial folds and fine lines.

Eyelash Enhancement with Latisse

Hypotrichosis is a dermatological condition which leads to very little or no hair growth in the eyelashes. People suffering from hypotrichosis often have no eyelashes or have very flimsy eyelashes that shed.

The eyelash enhancement treatment is a great way to reduce the effects of hypotrichosis. A recommended treatment option is Latisse, an FDA-approved, skin-friendly chemical which promotes hair growth in the eyelashes.

The treatment involves the doctor applying a small amount of Latisse in the area of the upper eyelid where there is no eyelash growth. The chemical is designed to activate the hair follicles in your upper eyelid and stimulate eyelash growth. The results are very visible, with active eyelash growth occurring within a month. In less than three months, you’ll have lush eyelashes that you’ll be proud of.

Kybella & Non-surgical Neck Lift

Treatments for flabby and sagging necks aren’t just surgical anymore. Introducing Kybella, an FDA-approved injectable, designed to give your neck a smooth and contoured appearance. The Kybella injectable is a cosmetic dermal filler which contains Deoxycholic acid, which is designed to break down the fatty tissues in the neck.

The chemical is designed to treat the submental fat, the fat that is found in the lower regions of the neck. When injected, Kybella will reduce the fullness that develops in the neck and results in a toned and shapely neck.

The best benefit of the Kybella treatment is that the results can last for years. This is a non-surgical procedure and is perfect for patients who do not wish to undergo a surgical neck-lift.

PRP (Plasma Rich Protein)

Platelets are one of the components that make up plasma found in human blood. They are proteins which have multiple growth and healing properties, making them ideal for treatments for various musculoskeletal and dermatological conditions.

Plasma has regenerative and restorative properties. The PRP (Plasma Rich Protein) treatment is designed to use the platelet found in the plasma, to heal everything from knee injuries to surgical scars. In dermatology, it can be used to reduce acne scars, stimulate elastin and collagen production and to activate hair growth.

Before the treatment, the doctor will extract a small vial of blood (typically less than 2 ounces) from your body and separate the plasma from the blood. This plasma will then be injected into the part of the body where there are acne scars, lower hair growth or sagging skin. The results are subtle, with gradual improvement in the injected area over a 3 to 5 week period. Patients have reported results lasting three months after injections, glowing and tighter skin weeks after treatment and other such improvements in facial appearance.
