What is the Halo laser?
The Sciton Halo Laser combines two lasers to provide a synergistic treatment for the skin. It is the first laser of its kind, offering a hybrid fractional approach: a fractional erbium ablative laser paired with a non-ablative laser for skin rejuvenation at a deep level.

How does Halo work?
In the past, the two different wavelengths were delivered separately and it would require six to eight sessions to achieve the desired result. Halo by Sciton is the new generation of lasers, providing great results in fewer sessions.
Halo combines the two wavelengths: the 1470 nm wavelength targets the dermis to rectify deep damage caused by sun or pigmentation while tightening collagen, and the 2940 nm wavelength targets the epidermis to deliver zero to 100 microns — addressing texture, reducing pore size, and smoothing the skin surface.
This flexibility makes it possible to fine-tune each wavelength, the depth reached, and the kind of ablation delivered. One hour before treatment, a topical cream is applied to minimize sensation. Using motion-tracking technology, the face is measured so treatment is even, and the Halo handpiece is moved over each section of skin sequentially in a crisscross manner. The system alerts when the required treatment is complete.
Recovery after Halo treatment
Mild swelling and redness are common after the Halo treatment, and you may experience some skin tenderness for a few days. Because of the deep-rooted ablation and rejuvenation, the skin will peel and take on a bronzed appearance. This usually starts one day after the procedure and lasts four to five days. After this, you'll see your new skin emerging, with improvements that continue over time.
